eco Cricket Betting — Bet on T20, BPL and International Matches
Bet on cricket at eco — Bangladesh's favourite sport. Odds update ball by ball across BPL, IPL, T20 World Cup, and the best cricket tournaments in the world, and you can act on each moment as it happens.
Cricket's three formats and popular tournaments
Before getting into cricket betting it is worth understanding the formats well, because the type of bet varies from one format to another.
Twenty20 Cricket
This 20-over format is the most popular among Bangladeshi fans. BPL (Bangladesh Premier League), IPL, and the ICC T20 World Cup attract the most betting traffic. Because matches are short, odds move up and down quickly, so you need to stay focused during live betting.
One Day International
In the 50-over format, longer matches mean a wider range of betting markets. ODI betting is popular for the ICC World Cup, bilateral series, and the Asia Cup. Odds change more slowly during the course of a match here.
Test Cricket
In this five-day format, pitch, weather, and the team's batting lineup have the biggest influence on betting decisions. A draw is a genuine result in Test cricket, so the match winner market has three options.
You can also bet on football, kabaddi, and other sports at eco, but cricket is the most in-demand sport among Bangladeshi bettors. In a 90-minute football match goals are few so odds are larger, while in cricket every wicket and every run shifts the odds — that is the key difference between betting on the two sports.
What are cricket's popular markets?
Each market works differently. Below are seven popular markets with a brief explanation of each.
Match Winner
Bet on which of the two teams will win. The simplest and most familiar market in T20 and ODI. Example: if you bet on Team A to win and Team A does not win, you lose your bet.
Most PopularToss Winner
Bet on which team will win the toss before the match starts. Completely dependent on chance — it has nothing to do with match performance.
Quick ResultTop Batsman
Bet on which batsman will score the most runs in an innings. The focus is on one individual's performance, not on the team.
Player MarketTotal Runs Over/Under
Bet on whether the total runs in a full innings or a set number of overs will go above a given number (over) or stay below it (under). Pitch and bowling conditions matter most in this market.
Over/UnderMulti Bet (multiple selections)
Betting on multiple matches or events at once multiplies the odds together to produce a much larger combined odds. But all selections must be correct — one wrong selection and you lose the entire bet. This is a high-risk market.
Multi BetRuns in the Next Over
In a live match, bet on how many runs will be scored in the next over. Decisions have to be made quickly and odds change after every ball.
Live MarketHandicap Betting
A run advantage or disadvantage is applied to a team to level the contest between the two sides. If you want to bet on the weaker team, the handicap gives extra opportunity.
Handicap
Decimal, Fractional and American Odds
There are three types of odds formats. eco generally uses decimal format, but knowing the other two makes comparison easier.
| Format | If Team A wins (value) | Return (on a ৳1,000 bet) |
|---|---|---|
| Decimal | 3.00 | ৳3,000 |
| Fractional | 2/1 | ৳3,000 |
| American | +200 | ৳3,000 |
Example 1 (backing Team A to win): on a ৳1,000 bet, if Team A wins you get back a total of ৳3,000 (৳2,000 profit + your ৳1,000 stake) — all three formats represent the same amount. If Team A does not win, you lose ৳1,000.
Example 2 (favourite Team B): decimal 1.80 = fractional 4/5 = American −125. On a ৳1,000 bet, if Team B wins you get back ৳1,800 (৳800 profit). American minus odds show how much you need to bet to win 100 taka.

Every wicket shifts the odds — in-play betting
Live in-play betting lets you place bets while a match is in progress. Odds update after every wicket, after every boundary, and even after every ball.
Say Team A has scored 80 runs in 10 overs but has lost 3 wickets. At that moment the chances even out again and Team B's odds will shorten. That is exactly when in-play betting becomes useful.
Markets may be temporarily closed before an over ends — this is normal. Once the over finishes the market reopens.
- When a wicket falls, the batting team's odds increase
- If runs come quickly in the powerplay, the batting team's odds shorten
- If rain or DLS is applied, the market may reset
- Odds change fastest in the final overs
Alongside cricket, eco also offers in-play betting on football, tennis, and basketball. You can bet on sports using the same account as your casino games. eco's casino section also has live table games.
What you should know before you start
Betting is entertainment. Keeping the following points in mind will make the experience better.
Focus on one market
Start with the match winner market. Try other markets gradually.
Set your budget in advance
Set a separate budget for each session. Staying within that budget is the sensible approach.
Check pitch and weather
On a spin-friendly pitch, betting the total runs under can be more effective.
Be patient in live betting
Odds tend to settle after the powerplay ends — many find it easier to make a decision at that point.
Do not lose focus on a market
Adding too many selections to a multi bet reduces your chances of winning. Start with fewer selections.
Responsible Betting
Betting is entertainment, not a source of income. Full details on setting limits and healthy habits are on the Responsible Gaming page.
